What can I expect?
Return to the halls of power—where nothing is ever quite as it seems—with I’m Sorry, Prime Minister, the long-awaited final chapter in Jonathan Lynn’s iconic political satire.
From the BAFTA-winning co-creator of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, this brand-new stage comedy reunites two of British politics’ most hilariously mismatched minds: Jim Hacker and Sir Humphrey Appleby.
Now older, possibly wiser, and certainly more confused, Jim Hacker (played by Griff Rhys Jones) has traded Downing Street for a quiet retirement at Hacker College, Oxford. But peace is short-lived when he finds himself “cancelled” by the very institution he hoped would offer serenity.
Cue Sir Humphrey Appleby (Clive Francis), the master of red tape and obfuscation, who returns with his trademark charm, Latin quips and bureaucratic brilliance. Together, the pair must navigate students, social media outrage, and academic committees in a desperate bid to cling to dignity—and maybe even relevance.
Brimming with clever wordplay, biting humour and nostalgic nods to the original series, I’m Sorry, Prime Minister is a must-see for fans of classic British comedy, old-school satire and timeless wit.
